在澳洲很多人都喜欢板球。这是一个比较老的运动，他有一点像一个传统，他也是我们的national sport。在1804年，这是我们第一次玩板球。这个运动需要聪明的计划和技术。它是一个速度很快和很激烈的运动。

观看这个运动的时候，我们的情绪会跟着比赛的持续变得很兴奋，很激动。澳洲板球队是世界顶尖的。

联盟橄榄球和澳大利亚式橄榄球是类似足球的运动。这个运动同样很好玩又很刺激。

游泳可以是一个休闲运动。不过游泳可以又快又累。游泳是一个理想的全身运动。

Netball，是一个非常普及的运动，很多女孩都喜欢。是一个动作快，令人兴奋的游戏。它要求的技能跟其他运动差不多。这个运动类似于篮球。

这些运动不需要从小训练，不是技巧性很强的运动，什么时候都可以玩。

Liu Xiang

刘翔是中国的奥林匹克运动员。他的专长是110米跨栏。1983年七月十三日他出身在上海。

刘翔是中国的文化标志。他是中国的希望。在2004年刘翔给中国赢来了第一个奥林匹克田径金牌。这时他突然变成中国人喜爱的名人。他带给中国人希望，希望他在2008年的北京奥运会再次赢得金牌。

可惜，八月十八日，在奥林匹克运动会上，在第一轮比赛中，有一位比赛选手在枪响前抢跑，突然刘翔离开了比赛场地。这时，观众们都惊呆的看着，不知道发生了什么事情。观众们默默的看着他们的“希望”走下台。

后来在新闻发布会上，刘翔的教练告诉媒体刘翔坏损了的跟腱已经困扰他6-7年了。刘翔的跟腱慢性炎症开始复发。不过刘翔答应在2012年的奥运会一定会回来。

过了十三个月的修复，在Shanghai Golden Grand Prix刘翔得了二等奖，但输给Terrence Trammell。

澳洲学校里，没有必须运动项目。但他必须要做到一定的运动时间。在中国也没有必须的运动项目，可是一般的学校都有长跑。

Popular Sports

Popular sports in Australia include cricket, rugby league, Australia Rules Football, swimming and netball.

Cricket to me is very popular as it is sort of a tradition, it is also our national sport. It has been played for a long time, it was first played in 1804. It involves technique, clever planning, skill and many other features. It is an intense game to watch, fast, fun and exciting. We also have the top cricket team in the world!

Rugby league and Australian Rules football are both different types of football. These games are fun to watch and play and can be intense to watch.

Swimming is a relaxing sport. It can also be fast and tiring. It is fun and ideal.

Netball, a very popular sport for girls is an exciting game that moves quickly. It requires skill as in every other sport. It is similar to basketball.

Anyone can play these sports and there are not much limitations compared to sports like gymnastic that need a level of skill to be able to perform successfully.

Liu Xiang

Liu Xiang is a Chinese Olympian who specialises in the 110 metre hurdler. Born July 13, Liu Xiang was born in Shanghai.

Liu can be seen as one of China’s cultural icon. He was China’s hope.

He came into the limelight in 2004 when he won China’s first gold medal in track and field at the Olympics. After his immense success, he bought the Chinese great hope and promise that he might repeat his success in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

However, on august 18, Liu walked off the tracks after a false start due to another runner in his first-round heat. The audience was stunned, confused, silent and despaired as their great hope had just walked off.

Later on in the press conference Liu’s coach explained of his Achilles tendon injury that has held him back for 6 to 7 years. Liu had started suffering a recurrence of chronic inflammation in his right Achilles’ tendon.

However, Liu vows to “come back” for the 2012 Olympic Games.

After 13months of recovery, Liu won second place at the Shanghai Golden Grand Prix, coming behind Terrence Trammell.

Compulsory Sports

There are no compulsory sports in Australia, but a compulsory amount of the time in which the student has to participate in PE.

In China many schools have compulsory running over a long distance.
